Still today, I have a blind spot for sparkling wine
As an expat from the Land of the Cyclops
I’m here to propose a performative toast
Navigating the intersection of art, festivity, failure, and the fragile brilliance of being alive
As we’re honouring the 750th year of Amsterdam being Amsterdam:
Cursed

As once stated by the one and only Madonna:
Art has nothing to do with money but everything to do with love
Or in the words of Halsema herself:
Kunst is een keuze
Art is a choice
Konst är ett val
So for now, let’s build a human pyramid
Because at least that’s something that can never go wrong nor out of style
To the complete expression of indestructible life
